P.M.U. - Stands for "Permanent Make Up" and is a form of permanent cosmetics in which a Trained and Licensed Permanent Makeup Artist, deposits color into the skin to achieve a desired Cosmetic look. Examples of PMU include MicroBlading, MicroShading, Permanent Lip blush, Permanent Eyeliner, Scalp Micro-Pigmentation, Etc..
MicroBlading is a form of semi-permanent make-up in which a hand held tool is used by a trained and licencesd P.M.U. Artist, to manually deposited pigment into the upper layers of the skin in a hair-like incisions to create the illusion of hair, and enhance, reshape or fill in your current eyebrow while keeping the natural look. Microblading is perfect for those with sparse eyebrows. It adds volume and illusion of hair texture for a Natural Looking Brow!
MicroShading is a form of semi-permanent make-up in which a hand held tool or machine is used by a trained and licensed P.M.U. Artist, to deposited pigment into the upper layers of the skin to create the illusion of more texture and depth in the eyebrow for more of a penciled in or powdered brow look. Microshading is great for those who prefer more of the "Make Up" look, or a penciled in brow such as a Ombre/Powder Brow!
Combo Brows are when both MicroBlading & MicroShading techniques are used to achieve your desired look. With combo brows you get both the illusion of natural brow hairs, with the addition of extra depth, and texture from the shading, allowing you to really customize the look of the Brow to achieve result you desire!
Most clients can typically expect MicroBlading to last 12-18 months, depending on the clients - skin type, skin care routine, current health and active lifestyle. - A yearly color boosting touch-up is recommended for maintenance to ensure your brows stay looking fabulous!
We use high quality numbing products through out the entire procedure to ensure you stay as comfortable as possible! Most clients feel very little discomfort during the procedure. Many even take naps!
MicroBlading usually takes about 2-3 hours, MicroShading about 3-4 hours, and Combo Brows can take about 4-5 hours. How long each service takes can vary depending on the service chosen, thickness of your brows, and if any correcting of the shape or color has to be done, to achieve your desired look! Much of the time during the appointment is spent pre-numbing, filling consent forms, pre-drawing brow shape, and going over colors to match your brow hair perfectly and create the perfect Brow for you! The actual Microblading itself will only take about 40-50 minutes!
Microblading is typically a 2 step process as everyone may retain the pigment differently and adjustments may be needed to achieve the desired look! You will see great results after the first procedure. Little parts of the eyebrows may naturally slough off during the healing process or the color may heal slightly lighter. Results depend on each client’s undertones, whether they have very oily skin, how much they bleed during the procedure, how well aftercare was followed, etc... It is hard to accurately predict how the ink will heal. We recommend coming in for a touch-up appointment 6 to 8 weeks after your initial appointment to retouch any parts that may have been lost in the healing process. This 6wk touch-up appointment would also be the perfect time to add more thickness or color to the brow if desired.
It is a case by case scenario and not all will be eligible, In order to be able to cover up old PMU work, the old color must be faded by 70-80%. Otherwise PMU Lightening/Removal service may first be needed, in order to achieve your desired results. If this is the case for you Please Contact us with a clearly lit picture of your brows with good lighting, or schedule a service consultation to discuss your options.
Touch-up Appointments are ONLY for existing Clients who have had their initial PMU done with us! PMU work Done by anyone else will not qualify as a touch up! There is no way for us to know what type of pigment was used in previous PMU procedures, or how it will effect the results of our Service appointment. Clients with previous PMU work done elsewhere will be scheduled as a "Normal" initial service appointment.
